Recently I've had a huge increase in the amount of SPAM in my mailbox. It all comes from different sources, BUT the subject line always starts with my screen name plus "aim.com". Any ideas how to block this?
Assuming that you never receive any legitimate mail with that address, you could 1. Inside your isp mail box, set up a filter to delete it without downloading. or 2. Within your desktop mail program, set up a similar filter to send the mail into the delete folder, or another folder of your choosing.
Thanks, but I'm still a bit confused. The mail is not coming from "aim.com", but from a plethera of other sources. The only common link is in the SUBJECT line. That is always "sfxc@aim.com". I know how to filter ADDRESSES, but I'm not sure how to filter SUBJECTS. Is it as simple as just entering "aim.com" or "sfxc@aim.com" as a keyword?
Yes. Use both your examples in an either/or situation. You can test it on your desktop email account by running the filter and it should move the stuff wherever you designate.
